Boy with autism needs to undergo therapy

At age 5, Christian Villacorte knows only two words: water and mommy.

At three years old, he was diagnosed with autism, according to his mother, Bernadette, a single parent.

“When you call him, he won’t look at you, much less respond to you. Persons with this kind of condition seem to have a world of their own. That’s why I’m seeking the help of other people because I cannot do

it alone,” she told the Inquirer.

According to Bernadette, her son needs to undergo occupational and speech therapy for his condition to improve. For this, she will need almost P100,000. On top of this, Christian also needs to visit the Philippine Children’s Medical Center every six months for doctors to evaluate his neuro and developmental progress.
