Death comes for man walking on busy QC road

Three bullets to the back of the head killed on Saturday night a 34-year-old jobless man in Diliman, Quezon City.

Vicente Anthony Andreza, a resident of Block 34 Lot 123 in Pook Libis, Barangay (village) UP Campus, died on the spot after the gunman crept up from behind him and shot him in front of other people.

Senior Police Officer 1 Cristituto Zaldarriaga  of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said the shooting happened at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in front of a beauty salon on Anonas Extension near V. Luna Street in Barangay Sikatuna Village.

According to the case investigator, a witness saw Andreza walking on the street with another man following him.

The witness told police investigators that when the man caught up with the victim in front of the beauty salon, he pulled out a gun and repeatedly shot Andreza in the back of the head.

Zaldarriaga said that when Andreza fell to the ground, the gunman fled. The victim, on the other hand, died on the spot.

According to the case investigator, the motive behind the killing has yet to be established.
