FORMER International Boxing Federation (IBF) minimumweight champion Florante Condes (25-7-1, 21KOs) of Looc, Romblon will slug it out with World Boxing Council (WBC) minimumweight Continental king Donny Mabao (20-20-1, 4KOs) of La Trinidad, Benguet for the WBC Asia Council Continetal Minimumweight belt in the main event of “King of the Ring” card this Saturday at the PAGCOR Casino Filipino in Parañaque City.

This was confirmed yesterday by international matchmaker Brico Santig of Highland Boxing.

Fondly called “The Little Pacquiao” in the boxing world, Condes annexed the IBF minimumweight world crown with a close split decision win in Jakarta over then world champion Muhammad Rachman in 2007. But a year later he lost the title in his first defense to Mexican Raul “Rayito” Garcia in Baja California, Mexico.
