National Koi show at Parkmall
THE Nishigikoi or simply koi is associated with good fortune, and is the symbol for love and loyalty in ancient Japan and China.
Today, koi is kept domestically for its ornamental value in ponds and water gardens.
Koi varieties are bred to develop exotic patterns, interesting colors and distinct scalation.
The best koi varieties in the country can be found at the National Koi Show at the Parkmall west parking area from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.
This event is organized by the Philippines-Cebu Koi Club.
More than 200 koi fishes are on display and vying for the champion title.
