Ateneo arts workshop Cebu open for applications

THE Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU)–School of Humanities, in partnership with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) Culture and Heritage, will run its yearly Ateneo Arts Workshop Cebu (ArtsWork Cebu) from April 22 to 26 at the Casa Gorordo Museum in Cebu City.

Now on its fourth run, the activity is open to third year high school students. Workshop categories include creative writing, theater arts and visual arts.

Instructors from AdMU will fly to Cebu to facilitate the workshop.

This workshop will hone potential of the students in arts and develop their self-confidence.

A registration fee of P500 will be collected on the first day of the workshop.

Application requirements include filled-out application form, a letter of recommendation from the principal, which states the applicant’s artistic ability, character, leadership skills, and academic standing; and a sample of the student’s artwork.

Applicants can get an application form and a sample recommendation letter from their school principal or director.

The organizers sent copies to over 40 schools in Metro Cebu and key cities in Central Visayas.

Application can be submitted to the Casa Gorordo Museum, c/o Maybellane Sanchez, Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc., 35 Lopez Jaena St, Cebu City.

The deadline of submission is on Dec. 29.

A screening process follows and applicants will be informed of the status of their application on Jan. 30.
