Pa admits raping 14-year-old daughter

POLICE arrested a man accused of raping a 14-year-old daughter inside their house in barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

In an interview at the office of the Investigation and Detection Management Branch of the Mandaue City police, the father admitted raping his daughter.

The father said he would normally massage his daughter whenever she complains of chest pains.

A complaint for rape was filed on Wednesday against the father before the Mandaue City Prosecutors’ Office.

The alleged abuse happened early Tuesday morning.

The victim told police that she was preparing for school when her father massaged her after she complained of chest pains.

The girl’s mother had left for work at the time.

The girl said that while massaging her, her father undressed her and started touching her private parts.

After the incident, the girl texted her mother to go home. The girl was still able to attend her class after the alleged abuse, said Insp. Luis Alama, chief of the Canduman police station.

It was around 6 p.m. when the daughter informed her mother of the incident.

The mother and the girl reported the crime to the police that led to the father’s arrest.

Police said the mother initially hesitated to file charges against her husband but her daughter convinced her to take action against her father.
