Work-family balance discussed in seminar

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas (DSWD-7) held a seminar on strengthening family relationship for its 46 married employees and their spouses.

Social worker Rosemarie Salazar, said the government has exerted efforts to find strategies in facilitating work-family balance.

Salazar said the work-family balance policies demonstrate the government’s commitment to the well being of the families and employers’ social responsibility while contributing to successful labor relations, employee health and well-being, gender equality as well as child welfare.

Pastor Joel Polotan spoke about husband and wife solemn responsibility of loving and caring for each other and for their children. Polotan said parents have the duty to rear their children in love and righteousness, observing the commandments of God, and to become law abiding citizens.
