‘Juaning’ makes landfall in Aurora—NDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines – Tropical storm “Juaning” (international name: Nock-ten) made landfall in Casiguran, Aurora, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Wednesday.

NDRRMC Executive Director Benito Ramos said the eye of Juaning hit Casiguran, Aurora at 9:30 a.m.

Juaning is expected to bring heavy rains in Central Luzon and Metro Manila.

Ramos said that the NDRRMC and its affiliate government agencies were prepared to address any eventuality. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is likewise prepared to dispatch units in the metropolis.
