Titans repulse Blue Devils
SHERWIN Emmanuelle Resilla put on a magnificent offensive show as he steered the defending champions Teletech Titans to a nail-biting 81-80 win over the Stream Blue Devils last Sunday in the 2011 E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
Resilla erupted for 38 points, the most points scored by a player this season and preserved his heroics with clutch endgame plays.
Resilla first hit a three-pointer that tied the score at 78-all with 16 seconds left. He then canned two freebies in the final five seconds that sealed the Titans’ thrilling win, allowing them to catch up with co-leaders Convergys and Lexmark at 6-1 (win-loss).
It was virtually a one-man show for Resilla as Lourenz Limpangog was the only other Teletch player in double figures.
Sylvester Millevo scored 23 points for the Blue Devils, who saw their six-game win streak come to an end to drop to 6-2.
In the other game, the Aegis People Support Vipers broke two league-records in their 120-33 slaying of the hapless Executive Boutique Tarantulas.
