Foreman shot dead

A construction foreman of a coconut water facility being built in Sorsogon City was shot dead by motorcycle-riding armed men on Sunday night in Barangay Cabid-an.

Marlon Geron De Luna, 52, of Calapan City in Oriental Mindoro, was riding on his own motorcycle after leaving a barbershop at the downtown area when he was shot from behind at 7:15 p.m., said city police chief Supt. Edgardo L. Ardales.

De Luna died on the spot from three bullet wounds, Ardales said.

Some policemen who heard the gunshots failed to catch up with the killers, who were riding on a motorcycle. Oliver Samson, Inquirer Southern Luzon
