Rowdy foreigner nabbed in San Remigio beach

FOUR marijuana sticks were seized from a Norwegian national who was arrested for drunken behavior in a beach resort in barangay Poblacion, San Remigio town, northern Cebu.

Kristofferson Clenn Kelevera, 36, was also accused of attacking a policeman when he was arrested past 10 p.m. last Tuesday.

Police said Kelevera was drunk when he drove to Lapayan beach resort on a motorcycle.

Resort staff reminded him that vehicles were not allowed within the resort but Kelevera insisted on driving his motorcycle inside.

The caretaker called the police.

Kelevera became rowdy when two policemen arrived. He allegedly shouted at the policemen and tried to hit one of them with a beer bottle, said SPO1 Joe Johnnesky.

Police subdued the foreigner and brought him to the police station./ Correspondent Joy Cherry S. Quito
