Jocson said Francisco was leaving the compound of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish at around 6 p.m. Tuesday when she was shot by a lone assailant.

“There was only one shot, and it is possible that the victim was shot point blank because the sound was not that loud,” Jocson said.

Police are investigating if the killing had something to do with Francisco’s recent appointment as grade school principal.
