SK president, pals crash SUV in Argao road

07:49 AM November 03, 2012

A 13-year-old boy walking on the road was injured when the SUV of a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) official collided with a van in Argao town, southern Cebu.
The black Ford Everest of SK Cebu Federation president Aladin Williame Caminero was a total wreck.
Caminero suffered a head injury and fractured his shoulders and legs but was not in critical condition, said his father Provincial Board Member Wilfredo Caminero.
Aladin was confined at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the South General Hospital in Naga City.
He crashed his SUV on an acacia tree along a road in barangay Binlod, Argao town, said PO2 Marvin Chin of the Argao police.
Aladin was speeding to North Barangay Taloot, Argao City to have breakfast with friends when the accident occurred in the early morning of Nov. 2.
His SUV supposedly hit a Starex van, causing it to swerve to an extended lane and hit 13-year-old Christian Zamora who was walking by the road.
PO2 Chin said Aladin, son of Provincial Board (PB) member Wilfredo Caminero, was with friends identified as Michael Mansueto, Clint Mendoza and Jual Pelayo, who also landed in the hospital for injuries.
The SK official’s friends and Zamora were brought to Isidro Kintanar Memorial Hospital in Argao./Correspondents Carmel Loise Matus and Gabriel C. Bonjoc
