MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) raised storm signal No. 1 over Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Albay and Camarines Sur and Norte on Monday afternoon, as tropical depression Juaning passed through the country.

Juaning will be bringing wet days to southern Luzon, Visayas and western Mindanao, and the rains could become widespread over the Bicol and Samar areas, according to the Pagasa.

Pagasa also warned residents in areas under storm signal No. 1, especially those in low-lying and mountainous areas, of possible flash floods and landslides, and advised them to take precautions.
