Stags shoot for fifth straight victory

2 p.m. – San Sebastian vs. Lyceum
4 p.m. – JRU vs. Perpetual Help

THE SAN SEBASTIAN Stags will try to raise their game even more as they gun for a fifth straight win when they take on the surprising Lyceum Pirates, today in the 87th NCAA basketball tournament over at the Arena in San Juan City.

The Stags are currently tied at the top of the standings along with the reigning champions San Beda Red Lions. Both squads tote 4-0 (win-loss) records after pulling off exciting victories last week.

The Pirates, on the other hand, are proving all their doubters wrong as they grabbed their fourth win in six games by downing the Arellano University Chiefs, 84-74.

The main game will see the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers taking on the winless Perpetual Help Altas. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
