3rd Medellin Bowling Cup starts at SM Cebu

THE annual Medellin Bowling Cup kicks off its third year with some of Cebu’s best bowling teams to compete head-to-head tomorrow at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center.

The competition is organized by Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA) former president Ben Miranda with the help of the present administration of Cebu’s largest bowling group headed by president Gretchen Tormis.

Giving support is the municipality of Medellin courtesy of Mayor Ricardo Ramon Rodriguez Ramirez III.

CETBA will face top rated bowling groups such as the Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA) while PRIMA bowling group’s participation of the tournament has yet to be confirmed. Team 55 AB, Proverbs, The Seniors, Oriental Port and Allied Services Corporation (OPASCOR), Trans Cool, Rich Catsup, MLSA, Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U), Chanieka, Golden Field, San Remegio Beach Club and team SSAB are the others joining.

FEATURED STORIES

Each team will be composed of four bowlers competing in the teams event, doubles event and the coveted individual masters competition.

The champion team will take home P6,000 while the runner-up will get P4,000. P2,000 goes to the third placer.
