DANAO SHOOTING

A 46-YEAR-OLD man was injured after being shot by his neighbor in barangay Masaba, Danao City, northern Cebu.

Liberto Prieto, 46, was inside his house when he was shot allegedly by Venerando Varquez past 7 p.m. last Sunday.

Supt Ricky Delelis of Danao police station said the two neighbors had filed charges against each other which could be the motive.

MANDAUE BURGLARY

VALUABLES worth P100,000 were stolen from an apartment in barangay Alang-Alang, Mandaue City.

Elsa Garcia, 35, and Merlin Suson, 29, discovered the burglary at 9 a.m. yesterday.

Police said there were no indications that the apartment’s door was forcibly opened. The apartment had window grills.

Missing items included eight sets of lapel, 30 mini speakers, two  DVD players, one processing unit, one mobile phone and a laptop. Follow-up investigation will be made to identify the thieves, said police./CORRESPONDENT JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
