Farmer shot, wounded
A FARMER was shot and wounded by a 22-year-old man while working in his farm in barangay Tungkop, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu.
Presciano Baraclan, 56, was wounded in the right arm and stomach. He was brought to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
Police identified the suspect as Jovannie Caraca, who remains at large.

Police said Caraca went to the victim’s farm at 7 p.m. last Sunday and without a word shot the victim with an improvised gun known as “pugakhang.”.
Police said personal grudges were the motive in the attack as the farmer accused the suspect of stealing fruits in his farm./Correspondent Joy Cherry S. Quito
