USC netters rule Cesafi tilt

THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos (USC) netters dominated the tertiary lawn tennis competition of the Cebu Schools Athletic Association Inc. yesterday at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club.

The finals cast in all categories were comprised of USC netters except for the men’s doubles competition, whose finalists were from University of San Jose Recoletos (USJ-R) and University of the Visayas (UV).

Bernardine “Nino” Siso flashed his old form as he routed fellow Warrior Fritz Satera, 8-4, for the men’s title.

Siso’s sisters Sallydine and Sally Mae once again paired to inflict an 8-0 demolition of Julie Ann Jopia and Mae Ann Amorin for the women’s doubles title.

FEATURED STORIES

The women’s title was grabbed by Keziah Jabines in an 8-2 annihilation of Grace Melchor, 8-2.

The men’s doubles title went to the USJ-R duo of Israel Abarquez and Jayvee Canoy who surged past UV’s pair of Marc Enriquez and Janel Pintor, 8-5. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
