Top-seeded Talk ‘N Text Texters face streaking Alaska Aces; B-Meg tests Rain or Shine

An explosive match will kickstart the semifinal round of the 36th PBA Governors’ Cup as the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters and the Alaska Aces try to pick up where they left off in the preliminaries.
The Texters and the Aces collide in the 5:30 p.m. opener while the B-Meg Llamados and the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters clash in the 7:45 p.m. main game at the Araneta Colisem.

Article continues after this advertisementTalk ‘N Text finished as the number one team after the eliminations by winning six of their eight assignments. Though they topped the eliminations, the Texters still tinkered their lineup by bringing in new import in Scottie Reynolds, who replaced Maurice Baker.
Alaska is one of the three teams that advanced to the semis with five wins and three losses. The Barangay Ginebra Kings and the Petron Blaze Boosters finished with the same records after the eliminations.
The Aces started the tournament slow, losing their first two games but won five of their last six games to survive the brief elimination round.
The Meralco Bolts, Powerade Tigers and the Air21 Express are the early casualties.
