TYPHOON “Karen” is already out of the country but the southwest monsoon isn’t finished with Metro Manila and other parts of the country, the state weather bureau Pagasa said yesterday.

Still Pagasa Mactan acting chief Alfredo Quiblat said Metro Cebu’s temperature range will be at 24 to 33 degree Celsius while coastal waters are moderate.

Moderate to strong southwesterly wind or the monsoon continues to prevail over the Visayas and Luzon.

Pagasa forecasters warned of possible flash floods and landslides as a result of intermittent moderate to heavy rains expected over the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and the provinces of Quirino, Nueva Ecija and Aurora.

Metro Manila, the weather bureau said, has been anticipated to experience occasional light to moderate rains and thunderstorms while the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas would have occasional light to moderate rains.  Sea condition at the Manila Bay is expected to be moderate to occasionally rough with moderate to occasionally strong winds from the southwest.

A developing low pressure area (LPA) has been spotted east of Mindanao but Pagasa assured that it was still too far from the Philippine area  of responsibility to have effect. Inquirer with a report from Correspondent Joy Quito
