Dynamic Power, Goldberry Suites move on

REIGNING champions Dynamic Power and last year’s runners-up Goldberry Suites advanced to the next round of the playoffs after they bested their respective opponents in the quarterfinals of the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) last Sunday at the SHS-Ateneo de Cebu gym in Canduman, Mandaue City.

Dynamic Power defeated Twin Tower Blue, 95-62, thanks to the height and heft advantage. It was the same story for Goldberry, which beat JAPFA, 94-69. Paulsen Uy and Jeremy Huang led Goldberry in scoring with 24 and 22 points, respectively.

For Dynamic Power, it was Valiant Ngo that did the most damage with 22 points while Francis Ong added 14. They will next face the Cebu Landmasters in the next round, after the latter eked out a 62-60 win over RDAK in their own quarterfinal affair.

Meanwhile, Insular Square nullified Gaisano Capital’s twice-to-beat advantage after they beat the latter, 63-50./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
