10 major Metro Manila roads to undergo repair this weekend – DPWH
MANILA, Philippines – Ten major roads in Metro Manila have been scheduled for repair and maintenance over the coming weekend, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said Thursday.
Motorists were advised by DPWH in an advisory to expect heavy traffic in sections of several major thoroughfares beginning 10 p.m. Friday up to 4 a.m. Monday.
In Manila, the sections of Claro M. Recto Avenue between Masangkay Street and A. Rivera Street; C-2 road in Tondo between Imelda Street and Velasquez Street, and Road 10 also in Tondo ; between C-2 and a Shell Gas station are set to undergo road maintenance.
In Quezon City, sections of Edsa northbound between Quezon Avenue and North Avenue and southbound between Walter Mart and Bansalangin Street will undergo road repair works.
The portions of Edsa that will be repaired in Mandaluyong city are: northbound between Berkeley Street and Poveda Street, and southbound between Boni Avenue and Apo Street.
Article continues after this advertisementThree roads in Caloocan City will be repaired over the weekend: Rizal Avenue extension at the corner of C-3 road, Samson Road between Masagana Street and Heroes Street and also between University Avenue and Bisig ng Kabataan Street.
Article continues after this advertisement“Repair and maintenance of these national roads in Metro Manila has been coordinated by the DPWH-NCR with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority,” DPWH said in the advisory.
