Both UC and USC own identical 2-3 (win-loss) records and will be trying to catch up with the third-running Southwestern University Cobras, which evened their record to 3-3 after spanking the Warriors last Thursday, 98-63.

The top-ranked University of the Visayas Green Lancers are already waiting in the semifinals by virtue of their clean record after this round. The rest of the teams will play a single round-robin in the quarterfinals, which start tomorrow. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
