3 cops to get cash reward
The Cebu City government will be giving P50,000 each as a cash reward to the three policemen who were wounded in an encounter with robbers, who attacked an armored van in Cebu City last year.
Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama yesterday said another P200,000 worth of projects will be given to the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) in recognition of good performance.
“I want them to chose a project worth P200,000 like the repair of their offices,” said Rama.
Set to receive the cash reward are PO2 Elrich Jourdin Catacutan, PO1 Roy Ceniza and PO1 Ernesto Silva.
The three policemen were wounded in a shootout with a robbery group allegedly headed by Junjun Cabando.
The robbers attacked an armored van of China Bank which was delivering P1.2 million to a money changer shop inside Robinsons Place in September last year.
