NSO needs 901 interviewers for NegOr
The National Statistics Office in Dumaguete City will hire 901 field interviewers for the conduct of the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) in Negros Oriental.
Those interested may submit their applications to their barangay captains immediately not later than Sept. 7.
Applicants should be a resident of the barangay, not more than 45 years old, a college graduate or must have completed at least two years of college education, physically fit and able to travel, with good moral character, has legible handwriting skills, can speak the local dialect and can operate a GPS device.
Hired applicants will be conducting house to house visit in the barangays, list all households and conduct face to face interview with the farmers, farm laborers and fishermen to gather data on their socio-economic status. They will be receiving a daily wage of P286 and P50 fixed allowance.
The RSBSA registration will start on Sept. 17 and end on Nov. 9.
The creation of the RSBSA database is in compliance with President Aquino’s directive to address the need of a comprehensive and systematic information system about the basic sectors in agriculture and fisheries where the basic data gathered will be used as basis to effectively formulate vital programs, policies and laws for the development of these sectors.

Provinces under batch 1 have started its registration activity in January of this year.
