Korean: Fellow Korean stole my P800,000
Police arrested last Saturday a Korean national accused by a fellow Korean of stealing his P800,000.
Kyuseok Han, 32, who’s temporarily residing in White Sand Village in barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City, was arrested when he tried to meet with a female friend.
Han later admitted to police that he lost the P800,000 by gambling in the casino.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group launched an operation against Han after his boss, another Korean, Sanghwa You, 39, reported the theft to police.
You told police that at 3 p.m. last Friday at a casino in Lapu-Lapu City he asked Han to change his chips worth P800,000 to cash.
Han, who is You’s personal assistant, however, didn’t return after he left with the chips. When Han didn’t answer You’s calls and text messages and later was told by the casino guard that Han already left the establishment, You sought police assistance.
