Prolife head to Aquino: Poor Filipinos are not like rabbits

MANILA, Philippines— Following President Benigno Aquino III’s remark on “responsible parenthood” in his third State of the Nation Address Monday, Eric Manalang, president of Prolife Philippines, said the chief executive should not perceive poor Filipino families as “rabbits [that] have [nothing] to do but multiply.”

In an interview with anchors Susan K, Den Macaranas and Captain Dylan Halili of “Good Morning Inquirer” on Radyo Inquirer 990AM, Manalang said they will fight moves that will impose population control in the Philippines, noting that reproduction is only but a natural occurrence.
