Dynamic Power escapes Insular Square
THE REIGNING champions Dynamic Power started its title defense on a winning note as it survived the Insular Square, 60-54, in the opening gameday of the 17th season of the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletics Association (SHAABAA) last Sunday at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu campus in Canduman, Mandaue City.
In other results, last year’s losing finalists and many time champions Goldberry Suites started strong and led by as many as 23 points to topple the young guns of Twin Tower Gold, 72-61.
Goldberry Suites led by 23, 46-23, at halftime and did not look back as multiple-time MVP Dave Lim led the squad with 12 markers while Gio Borromeo and Dave Ting had 11 and 10 markers, respectively.
The Landmasters also defeated the A-Team, 63-39 while RDAK eked past Twin Tower, 50-46. Gaisano Capital also routed Fiesta Cebuana, 52-30. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
