Talk ’N Text survives third do-or-die game in semis with 98-90 win over Rain or Shine
The Talk ’N Text Tropang Texters bucked elimination anew as they took down the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, 98-90, last night in the semifinal round of the 37th PBA Governors’ Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Texters survived a do-ordie game for the the third time in the semis, keeping their hopes of earning a playoff for finals berth alive.
Overall, the Textes improved to 8-1 (win-loss) this season when playing in a no-tomorrow game.
The semis will come to an end on Wednesday with the Texters and the Barangay Ginebra Kings facing each other in a sudden-death match.
With last night’s win, Talk ’N Text tied Ginebra’s record at 8-5 (win-loss).
The other game will pit the Rain or Shine and the B-Meg Llamados.

Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, workhorse Marc Pingris bagged the Player of the Week honors for the period of July 9 to July 15 for helping the B-Meg Llamados stay in the race for a finals berth.
The week that was saw Pingris average 15.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 block
