Aegis takes solo northern division lead

THE AEGIS Vipers broke free from a three-way tie to grab the solo lead in the northern division as they beat the Xlibris Publishers, 75-67, last Sunday in the 2012 E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.

Clifford Amarado fired 16 points while Ryan Veloso scattered 12 markers as the Vipers pocketed win number eight with just one defeat.

Stream and Covergys share the second place with 7-1 (win-loss) records.

Ian Martin de Guzman tallied 21 points, Al Sergs Go Bui and Violeto Tan Jr. both finished with 10 points for the Publishers, who tasted their fifth loss in seven games.

The Teletech Titans, on the other hand, tightened their hold of the southern division lead via a 77-67 dismantling of the Odusee Rooz.

The Titans improved to 7-1 behind the 21-point performance of Sherwin Emmanuelle Resilla.

Kenneth Robert Abrantes finished with 25 points, Rueben James Cabilino tallied 14 markers, while Michael Cadiz had 13 in the Rooz’s fourth defeat in seven games.
