Norfil calls on parents of abandoned child

/ 07:53 AM July 11, 2011

THE Norfil Foundation Inc. is calling the attention of the parents and relatives of an abandoned child.

The child was found last May 22 at 5:45 a.m. in a male comfort room at the St. Joseph Parish in Mandaue City. He was wrapped in a white linen, with its umbilical cord still attached. He was named Joseph Francisco Gerra and is now under the custody of Norfil Foundation Inc.,  a social welfare agency in barangay Sangi, Lapu-Lapu City.

Norfil is requesting the parents or relatives to contact social workers Angelina Dungog, Sheryl Gacita or Griffith Riconalla at 340-1170 or 340-5722 from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Failure of the parents or relatives to appear or claim the child within three months will subject the child for legal abandonment through the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
