Danao city treasurer cited for revenue collection

THE Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) cited Danao City treasurer Romanico Ocampo for surpassing the 2011 revenue collection targets from real property tax, business tax, fees and charges to economic enterprises.

Ocampo received a certificate of recognition in an awarding ceremony at Crown Regency Suites in Lapu-Lapu City last week and presented it to Danao City Mayor Ramon “Boy” Durano, Jr. during the revenue generation program evaluation, target setting and performance recognition conference last July 3 at Danao City Hall.

Ocampo’s recognition was due to his invaluable support to the revenue generation program of the BLGF of the Department of Finance in Central Visayas.

Ocampo surpassed the collection target for economic enterprises with 100.51 percent.

Meanwhile, the Danao city government also recognized the departments that contributed to the increase of city’s collection for 2011.

Ma. Adelia Capitan, team leader of Water Works Division received a certificate of recognition for increasing water fees collection to 100.28 percent.

Dr. Roque Noya, team leader of Slaughterhouse Division also received  a similar certificate for increasing the collection of slaughterhouse fees to 101.63 percent.

Jorge Batiquin, Fish Port Operation head, also received recognition for the increase of fish port fees with a rating of 102.15 percent.
