Tesda launches classroom on wheels in Canlaon City
THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) launched its first classroom on wheels through the Mobile Training Classroom Plus Park and Train Program (MBC-PTP) recently in Canlaon City.
According to Tesda information officer Geraldine delos Reyes, the van is equipped with welding equipment, and machines and tools for mobile training.
This is an alternative technical-vocational programs delivered at the doorstep of every community, said delos Reyes.
The skills training includes shielded metal arc welding, masonry and carpentry.
The training on welding for the first 25 participants from Canlaon City started last month June and will end Aug. 2, while the second batch of 25 trainees for masonry and carpentry starts this month, said delos Reyes.
The Cebu Science of Welding and Skills Technology Inc. is the training provider of mobile training classroom.
