2 brothers shot dead in QC

Two brothers who were reportedly involved in an illegal activity were shot and killed by a man on Wednesday night in Quezon City, the police said Thursday.

However, the victims managed to stab and wound their attacker before they were killed, according to Police Officer 3 Joselito Gagaza of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit.

Gagaza identified the fatalities as Ronald Sagun, 34, and his brother, Reynold, 32, both residents of Barangay (village) Payatas in Quezon City.

According to the victims’ neighbors, the Saguns and Tamayo were involved in stealing gasoline although they were competitors.

The police, however, did not give more details about the three men’s illegal activities.

“The killing of the brothers could have been caused by the rivalry between the victims and the suspect who were allegedly involved in the illegal trade of gasoline,” Gagaza said.
