Over 1T Compostela residents get free medical services, circumcision
THE one-day medical services and feeding program in barangay Dapdap, Compostela, northern Cebu benefited more than 1,000 residents.
The activity was initiated by 5th district Provincial Board member Jude Durano-Sybico, in coordination with the municipal officials in the district and the Philippine Navy-Civil Military Operations from Lapu-Lapu City.
Sybico said the activity was supported by Gov. Gwen Garcia and Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale, Compostela Mayor Joel Quiño, Vice Mayor Antonette Dangoy and municipal councilors.
Doctors and nurses from the Municipal Health Office also assisted in providing the medical services.
Sybico expressed his gratitude to the doctors and personnel of the Philippine Navy for conducting the “Operation Tuli” and free haircuts to the children in the barangay.
Sybico said they also initiated the feeding of hundreds of children in the barangay.
Article continues after this advertisementThe senior citizens were also given free eyeglasses, while some residents, especially the children received slippers.
Medicines were also given to the patients after they underwent consultations from the doctors at the Municipal Health Office and the Philippine Navy.
