Philhealth deploys staff nurses to hospitals

ABOUT a month after their deployment, the registered nurses hired under PhilHealth Customer Assistance, Relations, and Empowerment Staff (Cares) project have facilitated a number of members’ concerns in availing of their benefits in hospitals.

The Cares project entertains the concerns of the members on the benefits, membership, eligibility, accreditation process and other Philhealth-related concerns.

The 31 nurses hired by Philhealth region 7 underwent a comprehensive training on Philhealth policies and programs before they were deployed to hospitals.

Some of them are permanently deployed, while others on a weekly or monthly rotation in hospitals.

They were also taught to educate members on the importance of commitment to the sustainability of the National Health Insurance Program and conduct surveys and studies developed by Philhealth.

Currently, the Philhealth Cares attends to members in 23 hospitals in Cebu province and seven hospitals in Bohol and Negros Oriental.
