Legal expert Macalintal evaluates oral arguments, predicts senators’ votes

MANILA, Philippines—Lawyer Romulo Macalintal, a legal expert, in an interview with Radyo Inquirer early Tuesday, explained the good and bad points raised by prosecution and defense panels on Monday’s closing arguments in the Corona impeachment trial.

Macalintal said he’s also wondering why the trial focused only on Article 2. He also discussed how the senators would vote—guilty or not guilty or in abstention—based on their party affiliations.
