SC suspends court operations in areas affected by Typhoon Marce
MANILA, Philippines — Some areas in Northern Luzon suspended court operations on Thursday due to the inclement weather brought by Typhoon Marce (international name: Yinxing), the Philippine Supreme Court Public Information Office said.

Below are the suspended work operations:
Cagayan
- Aparri (Regional Trial Court and all first level courts)
- Sanchez Mira (RTC, 1st and 2nd Municipal Circuit Trial Courts)
Batanes
- All courts in the province
Ilocos Sur
- Candon City (all courts within the jurisdiction)
- Tagudin (all courts within jurisdiction)
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 2 p.m. weather update that Marce is approaching northeastern part of Cagayan and will make a landfall by Thursday afternoon or Friday early morning.
Article continues after this advertisementMarce was last spotted 175 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan, packing maximum sustained wind of 165 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 205 kph.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4 was also raised over the following areas in Northern Luzon:
- The northern portion of mainland Cagayan (Gonzaga, Santa Ana, Santa Teresita, Lal-Lo, Buguey, Aparri, Camalaniugan, Gattaran, Ballesteros, Allacapan, Abulug, Pamplona, Sanchez-Mira, Claveria, Santa Praxedes, Lasam) including the Babuyan Islands
- The northeastern portion of Apayao (Santa Marcela, Luna, Flora, Calanasan, Pudtol)
- Northern portion of Ilocos Norte (Pagudpud, Bangui, Vintar, Dumalneg, Adams, Bacarra, Pasuquin, Burgos)
