PCG transports about 9,000 relief boxes for Kristine victims in Bicol
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has transported approximately 9,000 relief boxes to aid families affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami) in the Bicol Region.
In a report on Sunday, the agency said 75 tons of supplies from the Department of Social Welfare and Development were transferred by three PCG vessels during All Souls’ Day (November 2).
PCG vessels BRP Cabra (MRRV-4409), BRP Malabrigo (MRRV-4402) and BRP Malapascua (MRRV-4403) conducted a simultaneous transport of relief supplies to Bicol. They came from Pier 2, Quezon Boulevard in Cebu City.

Meanwhile, the number of reported deaths due to the combined effects of Kristine and Super Typhoon Leon (international name: Kong-rey) is now at 150, the latest the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) data revealed.
