More than 273,000 passengers seen in ports nationwide on All Souls’ Day
MANILA, Philippines — Over 273,000 passengers arrived in ports across the country on November 2 (All Souls’ Day), according to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
In a report on Sunday, PCG said logged 273,695 passengers. Most are traveling to their provinces.

Of this figure, 144,689 were outbound passengers and 129,006 were inbound.
During the holidays, the PCG also deployed 4,100 frontline personnel in 15 Coast Guard districts. These personnel inspected 2,022 vessels and 2,229 motorbancas.
Article continues after this advertisementFrom October 31 to November 5, the PCG’s districts, stations and sub-stations are on heightened alert “to manage the influx of port passengers.”
Aside from this, the Philippine National Police deployed over 31,000 law enforcers in areas of convergence across the country to ensure public safety during Undas.
