Rainy weather to prevail in most parts of the country on Sunday (October 13)

MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will have rainy weather on Sunday due to shearline, easterlies and localized thunderstorms, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

The state weather service said shearline continues to affect the Extreme Northern Luzon, while easterlies will prevail over Luzon’s northern and central parts.

“Patuloy pa ring umiiral ang shearline dito sa bahagi ng Extreme Northern Luzon kung saan ngayong araw, magdadala pa rin ito ng mga pag ulan dito sa bahagi ng Batanes at Babuyan Islands,” weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

(The shearline persists in the part of Extreme Northern Luzon where it will still bring rain to parts of Batanes and Babuyan Islands.)

“Samantala, ang easterlies naman ay magdadala rin ng mga kalat kalat na pag ulan, pagkidlat at pagkulog dito sa silangang bahagi ng Northern at Central Luzon. So pag-iingat po sa ating mg kababayan sa posibilidad ng pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa,” she added.

(On the other hand, the easterlies will also bring scattered rain showers with lightning and thunder here in the eastern part of Northern and Central Luzon. So please be careful about possible flooding and landslides.)

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will also have rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

No gale warning was raised in any of the country’s seaboards.
