Rizal cops seize P622,000 worth of shabu, gun from 6 drug suspects
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives in Rizal province arrested six drug suspects and seized over P622,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm in buy-bust operations on Saturday and Sunday (October 12 and 13).
The Region 4A police reported that police drug enforcers in Binangonan town collared one alias “Sot” after he reportedly sold P500 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Libis around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
During the transaction, the suspect was reportedly also in possession of seven plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 56.5 grams worth more than P384,000, and a digital weighing scale.
These items were confiscated by law enforcers too.
When frisked, the police also found the suspect reportedly carrying an undocumented caliber .45 pistol loaded with six bullets.
Article continues after this advertisementIn Taytay town, policemen nabbed “Mike” and “Macmac” in another drug sting operation in Barangay Dolores around 3:10 a.m. Sunday.
Article continues after this advertisementThe two yielded eight sachets of meth weighing 25 grams worth P170,000.
The cops also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug business.
Meanwhile, police in Cainta town arrested “Kano” and “Onaks” in Barangay San Juan around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday.
The suspects yielded six sachets of shabu worth P34,000.
Meanwhile, in San Mateo town, anti-illegal drug operatives busted “Tatay” during a sting operation in Barangay Pintong Bukawe around 8:50 p.m. on Saturday.
The suspect was found with five sachets of meth worth P34,000.
Policemen also seized two mobile phones from the arrested suspects that will be examined for drug transactions.
The report tagged Sot as a high-value individual in the drug trade, while the rest of the suspects were identified as street-level pushers in their localities.
All suspects are under police custody and will face a formal complaint for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Sot will also face another case for illegal possession of a firearm.
