LEGAZPI CITY—A fisherman was confirmed dead while 14 others were reported missing in Camarines Norte days after Tropical Storm Enteng (international name: Yagi) hit the province, the Office of Civil Defense in Bicol said on Wednesday, September 4.

The Philippine Coast Guard found the remains of the 48-year-old resident of Jose Panganiban in Vinzons town on Tuesday.

Gremil Alexis Naz, OCD Bicol spokesperson, told the Inquirer that they cannot divulge the name of the victim while circumstances of the death are under investigation by the Management of the Dead and the Missing Cluster.

Eleven of the missing fishermen were from Jose Panganiban town while four were from Mercedes town.

The fishermen “[ventured] into the fishing sites before the weather disturbance became a tropical cyclone,” according to the report.

The Camarines Norte Operation Center said the fishermen were reported missing on September 2.
