MMDA suspends number coding scheme on Tuesday, Sept. 3

Zambales and some areas in Luzon were placed under red, orange, and yellow warnings on Monday evening due to inclement weather caused by Tropical Storm Enteng (international name: Yagi), according to the state weather service.

MANILA, Philippines — The implementation of the expanded number coding scheme is suspended on Tuesday, September 3, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA.)

This came after the Palace suspended classes in all levels and work in government offices in the National Capital Region and Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) are suspended on Tuesday, September 3 due to Tropical Storm Enteng.

In its 8 p.m. weather advisory on Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Tropical Storm Enteng (international name Yagi) moved over Isabela province on Monday evening, increasing its speed at 25 kilometers per hour (kph), moving north-northwestward.
