MAN NABBED IN LAPU DRUG BUST
A MAN was arrested and several packs of suspected were seized in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City.
Police said at least 200 packs of suspected drugs were seized from Jeremias Tradio, 33, a resident of barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu.
The operation was conducted by members of the Lapu-Lapu City police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas.
Police said Tradio was arrested shortly after he sold 100 packs of suspected drugs to a poseur buyer yesterday afternoon.
Tradio denied he was involved in selling drugs. He said a friend asked him to deliver the seized items to a man when he was arrested.

THE body of a man was found at the South Road Properties in barangay Lawaan, Talisay City, southern Cebu.
Police said the man had injuries in the head when he was found by a water refilling station worker at 8:30 a.m. yesterday.
A rock with blood stains was found near the body.
The man was believed to be in his 20’s.
An iron bar was recovered from the man’s possession.

VILLAGE OFFICIAL SHOT, HURT
A BARANGAY councilor was shot and wounded by his neighbor in a confrontation in barangay Pawa, Dumanjug town, southern Cebu.
Dennis Patiluna, 35, was shot in the face allegedly by Carlito Asentista, who fled after the attack at dawn yesterday.
Police said Patiluna attended a fiesta in sitio Tabios and was about to ride his motorcycle to head home when Asentista approached him.
For a still unknown reason, the two men argued.
While arguing, Atsentista drew a gun and shot the victim.
Petiluna sought help from relatives in the area and was rushed to a hospital in Cebu City.
Police said it was possible that the two men were drunk during the incident.
