Clark Water recognized as one of DENR Central Luzon’s Environmental Champions

MANILA, Philippines — Clark Water, a subsidiary of Manila Water Philippine Ventures and the sole water and wastewater service provider of the Clark Freeport Zone (CFZ), has been recently recognized as one of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Central Luzon’s environmental champions.

Manila Water Philippine Ventures’ Regional Operations Group Director for Luzon May Quinto and Clark Water General Manager Lyn Zamora received the award in an event organized by DENR-Central Luzon titled “Environmental Summit: Celebrating the Excellence and Partnership of Environmental Champions,” also in line with the celebration of this year’s Philippine Environment Month

According to DENR, the recognition is given to organizations and institutions who demonstrated exemplary commitment and initiative in protecting the environment and have set a benchmark in community service excellence and environmental stewardship. The award also serves a testament to the commendable support and dedication of Clark Water as DENR’s constant partner in advancing the protection, restoration and enhancement of the environment.

Through Manila Water’s Pasibol program, Clark Water has been actively collaborating with their stakeholders from the public and private sectors to plant and nurture trees annually, covering watershed management and protection of the Villa Maria watershed in Porac, Pampanga.

On wastewater management, Clark Water has remains compliant with DENR standards on effluent, including bio-nutrient removal specified in DENR-DAO 2016-08 and 2021-19. Clark Water’s wastewater service coverage in its service area is at 99.9% with wastewater treatment capacity of 30 million liters of water per day.
