Children Shelter calls on kin of abandoned kids
THE Children’s Shelter of Cebu Inc. is requesting the parents and relatives of the three minor siblings to get in touch with social worker Crisologo Secuya or Mitchell Ohlendorf, executive director of child-caring agency.
The three minors are Denmar Redita, born in Mahayahay 1, Pasil, Cebu City on Nov. 3, 2003; John Robert Redita Maranga, born in Pasil Health Center on April 27, 2006; and Roquena Leahmae Redita Maranga, born in Pasil Health Center on Aug. 10, 2007.
The siblings were abandoned by their widowed mother Joan Redita under the custody of Margarita Maranga, the sibling’s paternal grandmother, in Pagatpat, Tangke II, barangay Alaska, Mambaling, Cebu City on Aug. 5, 2009.
Their mother is believed to be residing in Cebu province.
The children’s mother and relatives may visit the Children’s Shelter of Cebu at 178-I D Sun Valley V. Rama Avenue, Cebu City or call long distance collect at 254-2944.
Failure of the parties to claim the children within one month will subject them to legal abandonment proceedings.
