MANILA, Philippines — Toby Nebrida has been named as the new acting general manager of the state-owned People’s Television Network (PTV).

Malacañang announced his appointment Friday via the Facebook page of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).

Apart from being the acting general manager of PTV, Nebrida will also become a member of the PCO and a private sector representative on the PCO Board of Directors.

Nebrida will replace Ana Puod as chief of the state-owned broadcasting and media production company. Puod was designated PTV boss in June 2023.

The Palace, however, did not provide any details regarding Puod’s removal from the position as of posting time.

Before this announcement from Malacañang, Nebrida serves as spokesperson of the Department of Migrant Workers.
