PTV employees have worked more than 20 years without regularization
MANILA, Philippines — Despite a lofty goal of becoming the number one station in the country, the state-run People’s Television Network (PTV) has employees who has not been regularized despite more than two decades of service.
During the Public Hearing of the Committee on Public Information and Mass Media presided by Sen. Robin Padilla, he remarked that the state-run news outlet had a low budget.
“…2005 po nung huling nag-regular ang PTV, so may mga contracts of service kami who have been with us for 20, 25 years . Di pa po sila nareregula and we are just waiting for the approval of the Civil Service Commission so we can begin the process of regularization again after 20 plus years,” said PTV General Manager Analiza Puod.

Puod said that employees who have celebrated 25 years in the station were given a certificate of recognition and a mug.

(This needs the corresponding budget to create these positions that are apt for their employees. We know that the government wants there to be no more contractualization.)
